Grants are never made for the following purposes:
Donations to General Appeals of any kind The purchase, erection or conversion of buildings Capital costs University overhead charges The completion of a project initiated by other bodies
Grants are not usually made for the following:
Projects put forward indirectly through other 'umbrella' or large charities Personal education fees or fees for taught courses - unless connected with research which falls within our current priority areas . Applications for such research work are normally made by a Senior researcher seeking support for a student or, if coming directly from the student it should have Project Supervisors written support.
