Trust History

The Trust was established in 1924 by Sir Halley Stewart with a capital sum and over subsequent years he established guidelines governing awards.

Continuity with the Founder is maintained by Trustees drawn from the Stewart family.  Other Trustees provide expertise in special areas of interest.
