Resources for grantees

As well as our commitments to each other during the lifetime of a grant, the Trust is keen to develop positive relationships with our grantees during the grant period and beyond. Our Trustees are particularly keen to support innovative and imaginative people — often promising young researchers — with whom they can keep in contact as their careers progress.

This page provides information and resources to help organisations once they have been offered a grant from the Trust. Please contact us if you have any questions or require any other Trust documents.

Monitoring Guidelines
The reporting guidelines that all grantees commit to fulfilling when they accept a Trust grant, and the corresponding Outcomes (end of project) report questions and Impact report questions. Please note that payment of funding instalments and possible future grant awards are contingent on grantees meeting the Trust’s reporting requirements.

As part of our own impact measurement processes, each year, the Trust invites a small sample of grantees to take part in an online interview. More information can be found here.

Grant Conditions
Example standard Grant Conditions agreement, although please note this will be tailored to each project and special additional conditions may be included depending on the project.

Longer-term outcomes and impacts evaluation
The 2024 report of a project piloting an Outcomes and Impact Review Programme for the Trust, conducted by Helix Research and Evaluation. The aims of the pilot were to design and implement an in-house approach to mapping and reviewing the outcomes and impacts of current and future Trust-funded projects.

This is now an ongoing programme for the Trust. Following the completion of grants, all grantees must complete an outcomes questionnaire and three years later an impact questionnaire.

Logos and acknowledgements
Guidelines for requesting and using the Trust’s logo. The Trust will provide suitable coloured high-resolution versions of our logo following approval of requests.

Dissemination events
The Trust is committed to helping grantees share their learning, in order to reduce duplication within the sector, encourage collaborations and inspire new projects and partnerships. Examples of ways the Trust has achieved this in recent years includes a Residential Grantee event and a Grantee Reception event. If you have any suggestions for future dissemination events then please contact us.

“During the grant period, Hope at Home grew from a pilot to an established charity and also expanded the staff team. Hope at Home is now more robust and also scaling up its work across the UK in a sustainable way.”
